David Walker & Son - Brixham

Fresh fish merchants, D Walker & Sons of Brixham were established in 1989 by father and son team, David & Neil. JB Packaging supplied Walker & Sons with their temperature controlled packaging from day one and over 19 years later, their working relationship is still as strong as the very first day.

Located on the quayside at Brixham, Walker & Sons buy day boat fresh fish from Brixham market and take it straight to their fish store only hours after being caught. Upon arrival, David and Neil set to skinning/filleting and grading the fish to their customer's specific requirements and then set to packing the fish.

"We needed to have a box that would prevent the ice from melting and JB Packaging was able to provide us with an ideal solution" explains Neil Walker.

Sending fresh fish in 3kg and 15kg polystyrene boxes packed with ice, Walkers can be sure that the fish will arrive at its final destination as fresh as the day it was packed.

T H Biddick & Son - North Padstow

T H Biddick & Son are a family run Cornish business specialising in Potatoes and Broccoli. Some years ago they realised that using cardboard boxes to transport broccoli was ineffective. The produce did not stay fresh during transit, and commanded a lower market price as a result.

Requiring a new box design, and wanting to advertise the company name on their boxes, T H Biddick & Son approached JB Packaging who promptly came up with a solution.

T H Biddick & Son started to deliver fresh ice packed Broccoli in EPS boxes and promptly realised a premium price for their produce.

To this day the working relationship between T H Biddick & Son and JB Packaging is still going strong and we look forward to a good season ahead.
